We extend our sympathies to the MARGARET PAULIN family, the ERV KROLIKOWSKI family, the EARL NORMAND family, the WALTER FELDE family, the JACK KUSSARD family, the EDWARD FRANKEN family, the JERRY VERHEIN family, the DICK SCHULTZ family, the ART ANDERSON family, and the LEONARD ZEIS family.  

Margaret Paulin was the wife of Clarence Paulin, a long time Milwaukee Road employee.  Erv had been having health problems for a number of years and passed away on January 9th at the age of 81.  Erv spent many years in the motor carrier field.  Earl Normand was better known as “Cookie” after his many years with R.A. Johnson Company.  Earl was eighty-four years of age at the time of his death on January 14th.  He and Doris were married for 56 years.  Walter had been incapacitated somewhat for the past two years but always maintained his humor and wit.  He donned his white beard and red cap to donate cookies at our December meeting.  Walter was eighty-one years of age and died on January 15th.  Jack was traffic manager at Vapor Blast Company for many years.  He was better known at Geronimo as this was his favorite shout when bowling.  Jack was married to Arleen for fifty-eight years and his personality endeared him with all he came in contact with.  Eddie Franken’s wife Lorraine passed away on December 11th, 2005 at the age of eighty-four.  Jerry passed away on December 11th, 2005 at the age of seventy-four.  He worked for Ace World Wide for 49 years and was a past President of the Milwaukee Traffic Club.  Dick Schultz was a brother to Ron and worked in the shipping department at Harnischfeger on National Avenue.  He passed away December 5th at the age of 69.  Art was a member of the Traffic and Transportation Clubs and took part in the softball league.  Leonard his lost his wife Mary after a short illness.  May all of their souls rest in peace.  They will be missed by their family and friends. 

FAYE PRICE and her husband Brian spoke to KURT BRANDT and his wife Jean.  The Brandt’s now live in Des Moines, Iowa.  Kurt is now 91 years of age and is encountering some severe medical problems.  BRIAN PRICE is an auditor at Goodman Reichwald Dodge.  JERRY KENNELLY stopped for a visit on his way to La Crosse to attend a wedding.  He is in good shape and lives in Mesa, Arizona.  JAN STEWART extends her greetings and thanks to all for the cards and notes at Dick’s passing.  She now lives in Fort Meyers, Florida.  FRED HONKAMP and his wife Betty took and early departure for Texas due to Betty’s health problems.  The climate in Texas is more suitable for her condition.  BILL MAILE and his wife Barbara contracted an unknown virus while on a trip to Hong Kong.  They had to come home to get medical treatment and it took three months before they were feeling healthy again.  They now reside in Village, Florida.  LILA VIRDA widow of Roy Virda had open heart surgery but is doing well in her recovery.  She now also lives in Village, Florida.

BOB DONOVAN was happy and relieved that his son had the charges against him dropped.  Another Village, Florida resident is BUZZ LONGSTAFF and his wife Joan who enjoy themselves playing golf.  They send best wishes to all in our area.  BILL LEVINE visited his brother in Denver during the Christmas holidays.  Congrats to Father Frank Sanfelippo on receiving the Service Award for 2005.  He truly deserves this honor it couldn’t happen to a finer more deserving person.  Our congratulations to AL THOM who celebrated his 95th birthday on November 9th.  He still drives his car and gets around quite well.  He is our miracle man.  DEL BRAHM’S daughter was married on October 8th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls.  This was one day after her parents celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. 

 

JERRY NEIDINGER and his wife Edith stopped in town for lunch on their way home to Erie, Pennsylvania after attending the wedding of their grandson in Houston, Texas.  Jerry wants to be remembered to all of his friends in our transportation area.  RALPH BARFKNRCHT is doing well after having a pacemaker implanted.  JIM CONLEY IS NOW RESIDING IN Summerfield, Florida at 9420 SE 132nd Loop 34491.  His phone number is 352-307-0434.  ROY SCHULTZ has agreed to his new contract with the Milwaukee Brewers and will be working at his usual place near the press box.  CARL SMAIDA and his wife Bernice celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in October.  JULIE OROZCO and Carl have the same birth date, October 29th.  The Regency New Berlin, 13759 West National Avenue New Berlin 53151 is the home for RED SCHELLER and Lenore, JACK CONNOLLY and Mary Lou and BOB SCHOELKE and Kathy.  Jack is suffering from heart problems and Mary Lou is recovering from a stroke.  Bob has to go in for dialysis three times a week.  RICK FRANCO’S son Rob had his car stolen while in the filling station paying the bill for the gas.  The car was recovered two days later but all of the contents were gone.  EDDIE FRANKEN lives in Meadowmere Apartments on South 54th and Lincoln.  Eddie’s phone number is 414-615-2218.  KAREN KACZMAREK is vacationing in Costa Rica where she hopes to soak up the nice warm sun and come home bronzed.  Karen plans on modeling when she comes back with her tan.  RUSS SEARING is again joining the grandpa ranks.  FATHER FRANK SANFELIPPO was in Florida helping out with some priestly duties at one of their parishes.  Father is back now but has to undergo surgery on February 6th.  We wish him well and a speedy recovery.  FRANK KIRSCHBAUN is suffering with a stomach disorder and is having a tough time combating it.  DEL BRAHM and his wife Peggy visited DAVID CREASEY at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Dave is fine and busies himself buying and selling homes.   Needless to say he moves a lot and when the house gets dirty he just buys another.  EDDIE FRANKEN’S new phone number is 414-615-2218, he has moved to another room.  The JERRY LE SAGES’ vacationed in Florida and had a great time, with nice weather and sunshine.  CHUCK MENTKOWSKI passed out while on business in Florida with his wife Marcia.  He was hospitalized for three days where they discovered his blood pressure was very low.  He broke his front tooth off in the fall and now has to see a dentist as well as a doctor.  ROMAN FLORYANCE has recuperated from a lengthy illness and is getting around again.  JOE GUMINA has retired from his brokerage business and plans to relax.  JIM TETER is retired and living in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  LEONARD ZEIS’ wife Mary passed away.  Mary was 83 years of age and they were married 57 years.  She will be buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  JOHN BIALOZYNSKI’S wife Liz is making some headway in her recovery.  She still faces and operation on her jaw, another on her eye and some dental surgery.  They have to allow time for the radiation to leave the area.
