SCUTTLEBUTT

by Frank Schlieve

We extend our sympathies to the GENO BONINO family. Geno passed away on February 21st at the age of 42. He had leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant; was doing well and then the cancer returned. Mr. Bonino was the Operations manager at X-TRA trailer lease and always wore a big smile. He will be missed by his family and his many friends. Please remember him in your prayers.

DICK STEWART is in a nursing home in Dousman, WI. Jan tells us that he retains his great sense of humor but he is unable to help himself. Drop a card to him; he is a wonderful person. Understand that BUZZ LONGSTAFF has taken up residence in the "Sunshine State." We wish him many happy hours in his new home. GARY BROGAN is a member of the Wisconsin State Police and works out of Madison. He is doing well and enjoys his work. Understand that JIM FOULKS is moving back to the north side of Milwaukee. Haven't seen Jim for a long while and hope he is doing well. CARL SMAIDA and his wife have gone to Minneapolis where they will be introduced to their new grandchild. We all hope FRANK SCHLIEVE's recent doctors' appointment for his hand came out well. ART NELSON sends his best wishes to everyone. Art's cancer is in remission and he is feeling good. JERRY SCHMIDT is still having problems with his leg but continues to keep going.

The golf course can be a dangerous place. DON DANIEL's leg was broken in two places when he was hit by another golf cart. Don is somewhat angry as this will curtail his golfing for a spell. AL LEHMAN advises that he likes living in West Bend. GENE SITARZ is still having to curtail some activities after having undergone a couple of operations. JIM WILLMERING was married on Valentine's Day, both bride and groom had lost their spouses and the families were close friends. Jim is coming along well after his almost fatal accident. RUSS SEARING is still looking for some good ice cream sundaes.

DICK SCHWARTZ extends his best wishes to everyone. He regrets that he cannot join us as he did in the past. RED SCHELLER and his wife are vacationing in Florida. JIM MCMAHON is about due to be returning to Wisconsin after enjoying the warm Florida weather. KAREN KACZMAREK advises that she did win many blue ribbons at last year's State Fair for her culinary arts. Have missed TONY PITZO and BOB MC BRIDE at our last few luncheons. TOM KRITNER is getting prepared for again coaching the Brown Deer High School golf team. Heard from ELMER ALEXY recently and he extends his best to everyone.

Like to leave you with a few thoughts; Look backward with gratitude and forward with confidence. Don't run too fast through life. You only have one. There are never enough "I love you's." Live in your hopes and not in your fears.
