The
scholarship committee, which consists of Mike Coakley, of C.H. Coakley, John
Krenz and Thomas Krenz of Krenz & Hannan Int’l has met for the
selection of the new 4-year renewable scholarship of the Transportation
Association of Milwaukee. Jerry Le Sage of Prodriver Leasing Inc chairs the
committee.
|
The
committee had to make its selection from a collection of 8 applications. The
process is a review of all applications of which the committee does not know
who or how they are affiliated with the Transportation Association of
Milwaukee. It is the committee’s duty to select this year’s recipient
based on their application including what courses the had taken, what they
did in and out of school, grade point average and their projected goals. This year’s recipient is Scott Davis, the son of Bob Davis of Barrett Moving and Storage. Scott will receive $500.00 for the next 4 years of school as long as he maintains a minimum 3.0 grade point average. The
club has presently sent the 4th year scholarship to Kristin Kelm, the third
year to Elizabeth Bares, the second year to Marie McFarland and the first
year to Michael Donovan. This year we will lose Kristin but will gain Scott.
The Transportation Association of Milwaukee Scholarship is funded by the
generous contributions from the club members as Education Sponsors and by
the raffle that is held at our Thanksgiving/Scholarship dinner that is held
in November of each year. Two nights at the Wilderness, Sybaris Suites, and
many other donations are raffled for the scholarship Funding. Donations for
the raffle are always |
