Useless Body Parts
The
human body has evolved and adapted significantly since the caveman
days, a few biological traces of our prehistoric ancestors still
remain with us in the form of freeloading body parts we have no use
for. Did you know you
have a third eyelid? It
is located right in the corner by the tear duct.
Our Coccyx (tailbone) is made up of several fused vertebrae
left over from the olden days when we had tails.
Tonsils and Adenoids, they are prone to swelling and
infection and are often removed in childhood.
Fire In The Pan

Do
not throw water on a grease fire, the water being heavier than oil
sinks to the bottom of the pan where it instantly becomes
superheated. The
explosive force of the steam blows the burning oil up and out, the
fire ball in the kitchen hits the ceiling and fills the entire room.
Also, do not throw sugar or flour on a grease fire.
One cup creates the explosive force of two sticks of
dynamite. The solution,
wet a dish cloth and set it over the pan, the flames will smother.
Be safe.

Needles

A fear of needles can impact the
care a patient receives. Research
has shown that decorated needles can increase the quality of care when
patients are less stressed. Needles,
syringes, and IV bags decorated with musical notes, flowers, smiley
faces or butterflies were highly favored by patients.
Taking Control of Your Health
Waking up happy is much better than
waking up anxious or fearful.
Going to bed thankful is much better than going to bed anxious or
depressed.
